چکیده

Characterization and estimation of device independent color co-ordinates of scanned or photographic images of through empirical models is a typical issue for commercial desktop scanners and cameras. As a domain of complex problem for optimising suitable color model to evaluate textiles and paints, we investigated the effect of different DPI and device independent color coordinate selection for color Characterization using 140 color patch standards of SGA Colorchecker on Fabric Eye D 2000 scanner. This paper extensively discusses the polynomial regression and neural network characterization techniques and their respective model performances in order to relate typical scanning devices to spectrophotometer i.e., get CIE XYZ/ L*a*b*/L*c*h* from RGB values of scanned image of for D65 10 illuminant and observer. Synthesis, Characterization and Investigation of Photocatalytic Activity of transition metal-doped TiO2 Nanostructures

In this work, M-doped TiO2 nanostructures (M: Fe, Co and Ni) were synthesized by reverse microemulsion method. The as-prepared products were analyzed by different techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR). The effect of various dopants (Fe, Co and Ni) on ba...

Modelling of color scanners using neural networks

Since color scanners are not colorimetric, the optimal mapping from scanned values to colorimetric values is inherently nonlinear. Characterization of the scanner requires approximating this nonlinear mapping from the space of scanned values to a device independant color space. Neural networks are particularly suited to this task. Performance using an arti cial neural network generated LUT is c...

Digitization and Metric Conversion for Image Quality Test Targets

A common need of the INCITS W1.1 Macro Uniformity, Color Rendition and Micro Uniformity ad hoc teams is to digitize image quality test targets and derive parameters that correlate with image quality assessments. The digitized data should be in a colorimetric color space such as CIELAB and have no spatial artifacts that reduce image quality parameter accuracy. Input digitizers come in many forms...

A Geometric Foundation of Colorimetry

The physical properties of color are usually described by their spectra, eigenvector expansions or low-dimensional descriptors such as RGB or CIE-Lab. In the first part of the paper we show that many of the traditional methods can be unified in a framework where color spectra are elements of an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space that are described by projections onto low-dimensional spaces. We ...

Digital Camera Characterization for Color Measurements

The use of spectrophotometers for color measurements on printed substrates is widely spread among paper producers as well as within the printing industry. Spectrophotometer measurements are precise, but timeconsuming procedures and faster methods are desirable. Colorimetrically calibrated flatbed scanners have been proved to provide a fast and fairly accurate alternative to spectrophotometers. ...
